Dear Maje

In lieu of scorching hot Valentine Season, froggy and I get artsy this time. This is actually our first travel together for this year. I'd been seeing this museum online since early last year but don't have enough courage to go there until I decided to make a comeback on my instagram feed goals because seriously my feed was messed up last year. Now that I make a come back to all my social medias and basically connect to the world once again (which was supported by my becoming-instagram-boyfriend) our happy feet brought us here.

In Pinto Art Museum!

Now let's get informative: The basics and the things you need to know.

Pinto Art Museum is located at 1 Sierra Madre Street, Grand Heights Subdv. Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo, Rizal

How to get there?

Actually I used an app called Waze to navigate my way through it, but if you are visiting the said place without a car you can follow these steps:

  • Ride MRT3 to Araneta-Cubao station (from Makati 20php, from Shaw 16 php)
  • Go to the UV Express terminal in front of Farmers Market, just below the MRT station (There were men with signage or shouting Antipolo keme follow them)
  • Ride the van going to Antipolo Church (P50 per head)
  • Ride a tricycle to Pinto Art Museum at the drop-off point (P25 per head)

  • Additional reminders: If you are using a private car there is a fee for parking fee I guess? once you entered the Grand Heights Subdivision, for us we paid 20 php. And don't worry about the parking there will be guys who will assist you on where you can park your car.

Entrance fee: (as of Feb. 14 2018)

    • P200 - Adult
    • P180 - Senior Citizen / PWDs
    • P100 - Student (must bring the latest school ID)
Open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 9:00am - 6:00pm. Closed every Mondays.

We headed to the museum at around 3:00pm and got there around 5:00pm so we still have 1 hr. to roam around. The staffs of pinto are the sweetest they keep on saying "are you sure you are not students?" how I wish madam hahahaha. But anyway, we paid as a regular adults and register our names, she gave us a map (which I don't know where did I put) and instructed us to visit the galleries first downstairs (Yes you read it right stairs).

    What to expect?

Pinto offers 6 brilliant galleries that can make your eyes twinkle and be amaze of all the artworks. Plus the whole premises use natural lighting during daytime which enhances the arts and the place itself, there are also electric fans working on some part of the galleries, while other parts of galleries no need for electric fans because of the natural & fresh air given by all the trees around this hectare. As much as I would want to showcase everything that I saw in Pinto Art Museum I want you guys to support local artist by visiting museum like this. That is why I will show only some of my favorites.

I'm actually imagining this idea "what if after 6pm all this arts comes alive like in the film a night in the museum?" hahaha random thoughts.

Did I mention how the whole area is very cozy? it was like little Santorini. Every corner is very aesthetic. It has it's own taste of classy and calmness. You don't believe me? here are the proofs.

There are white linen bed artfully place in everywhere, isn't that relaxing? after a long walk you can sit or lay in one of the beds, just breathe in and relax.

    Final Rate:

Will I recommend this place? If you are in a relationship and wanna try new things might as well consider a Museum Dates or if you are single you definitely want to check this one out with your friends or family and be awe in this museum's enchanting beauty.

    10/10 STARS
-I just love how relaxing this place could be, away from the bustling and hustling city.

    Till our next stop!

    P.S

I just realized that I haven't been posting any outfit related in this blog which was pretty much ironic cause back in my old blog I love posting OOTDs' the sole reason why Dear Maje is created, my love for fashion, arts, food and travel.

Let's start from the basic-staple-white shirt which I believe all of you reading this must have atleast one in their closet. White shirt is one of my go-to shirt, my worn out pieces of clothing item oh pls. don't ask me how many white shirt I owned cause I have tons of it, in different style and shape it is because you can never go wrong with white shirt, instant fresh looking and mix and matching will not be too difficult. So if you are looking for an outfit idea for your white tee you've come to the right place.

    CAPE TUXEDO DRESS: FOREVER21
    BLACK PANTS: TIANGGE
    RED HEELS: FOREVER21
    WHITE TEE: FOREVER21
For a corporate vibe I paired my white tee with this black pants that I got somewhere in one of the tiangges here in the Philippines aswell as my red heels but if I have an urgent meeting I will throw on my white cape blazer tux that I got from forever21.

    WHITE TEE: FOREVER21
    AZTEC SKIRT: PROMOD
Plain white tees is better paired in prints trust me on this. The white tee will balance out the look since you have print pants or skirt going on down there.

    DISTRESS PANTS: FOREVER 21
    WHITE TEE: FORVER21
What I love about white tees are their versatility, from corporate to semi-formal down to some laid back outfit, it was just so perfect with anything. Here I paired my shirt to this pants that I got in trendsetter bazaar last September, a forever21 overrun.

    WHITE SHIRT: H&M
    DISTRESS SKIRT: FOREVER21
    BOOTS: BERSHKA
Bar hop? nothing to wear? try this one! your white tshirt paired with distress skirt and show your trusted boots. I actually wore this whole look when I go to the valkyrie.

ALL ITEMS ARE FROM FOREVER21 (FORVER21 PLS. SPONSOR ME! JUST KIDDING LOLS)
    SHOES: SPERRY
This look will probably pass when I want to do some quick errands, something edgy yet sweet.

And that completes my whole look, I hope you've learned something from me. Thank you for reading until the end.

    x,
    Maje

Today I woke up feeling lonely in every aspect. I feel alone. I feel broken.

A little backstory: My family lives in California and basically I, live here in the Philippines in this home four walls and a door well atleast I'm trying to make it a home for myself. But I can't. And the only human who kept me in my despair was gone.

    I pushed him away.

Because that's what I'm good at. I push people away. Away from me.

With all this, I felt heavy and I don't have someone to talk to. I can't talk to my parents or brothers cause I don't want them to worry about me. Same thing with the guy I pushed away. Why? because I broke up with him 4 days before our 5th anniversary. If I only have someone to talk to. Who will not put judgement on every actions I did. Who will listen to all my anxiety in life.

Now back to reality: It's been a year since the last time I go to church, oh wait I think it was since my brother left me for USA, I used to go to church with him but since he's not here I don't go anymore. I wanted too but anxiety attacks me.

Today is Sunday(Yes I update you guys on Sunday), and I woke up pretty late because who would want to wake up early with all this feeling? As I start my usual day, I opened my laptop and open my music app. And start my music sesh with some praising songs, I told to myself atleast 5 praising songs.

I was singing the first song I've chosen Mighty to save by Jeremy Camp, I don't know what happened to me but while I was singing it flashback the days when me and my brother used to go to church, holding back my tears and stopped myself from singing until the song ended.

2nd song was Lead me to the cross by Hillsong United, again I sang the song with all my heart this time I can't hold back the tears anymore, I allowed myself to cry. It's like he was saying I'm with you, you can talk to me. I cried my heart out and pray, I knew in that moment he's the only one who can mend my broken heart. I asked Lord to hug me, I badly need one. I cried until I felt better and much lighter.

So for you who's feeling the same thing I'm going through right now, always remember that GOD is always with you, cast your burden unto him for he will never leave you and forsake you.

    Blessed Sunday to everyone.

To be honest I've never been a fan of any poetry book since their words are way too deep I easily get drown, this might be the first poetry book that I purchased and believe it or not I fell inlove. I got it September last year but only read it by early this January while waiting for my video to render and as expected I got drown not with how deep the words are, but for how relatable each poem was. I can't believed that it took me 3 months before I picked this book up and start reading it.

Let's talk about this book cover, I actually get this one because of the book cover. It was black and white, nothing more, nothing less. But wait as the saying goes Don't judge the book by it's cover and my brother is not a pig! hahahaha (kidding aside) this book was definitely worth to read aside from it's minimalist cover.

I can definitely say that this book is all about feels (if that's even a proper english term), Filipino millennials can call it HUGOT book ( For my non-filipino readers: hugot means a phrase or sentence that is too deep, mostly all the words/conversation will lead into deep facts about love and relationship.) But don't get me wrong, this book is not only about love, it tackles also some abuses & feminism (hello girl power!).

This book is actually addicting to the point that I can't put it down not until I'm done with the last page, that is why I ended up finishing it for an hour. For an hour I feel vulnerable and thought that finally I found a book who understand what I'm going through right now. It was somehow talking to me. Let me share to you one of my favorite poem from this book.

It was a 3 liner poem but it was hitting you so much. This is one of my favorite lines from Rupi Kaur, as much as I want to post all of my favorites I don't want to be spoiler on what's inside of this book. Let's help Rupi Kaur to earn with her works.

That completes my blog for today btw, my schedule in uploading my videos on my youtube channel is every Mondays and Thursdays while updating blog every Saturdays.

It's been a sickful (if that's even a term hahaha) year-ender for me, all throughout December I'd been suffering from my on - off flu that is why I haven't post anything.

But first let me greet everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

In my previous blogsite I've done this 2017 goals that I will looked back supposedly at the end of the year but since I deleted it I don't have any reference now hahaha but I do believe I've somehow tick some of my 2017 goals like my 1st out of the country trip and learn how to drive that is all I can remember so far. By doing this I can know if I'm becoming a better version of myself.

This year I wanted some realistic goals so no jumping into cliff or doing a skydiving I'll reserve that for a lifetime goals *wink*

    Here are my Goals:

    1. Learn atleast one new language. I'm always fascinated with other language such as french, mandarin and spanish since 2014, I even considered on enrolling myself to a school just to achieve this goal, hopefully this year I can do it now.
    2.  2 out of the country trips. I'm a wanderer soul and my 1st out of the country went well so I want to challenge myself today.
    3. Save money. 5000 per month in my savings account and I'll do invisible 100 php and put it in my piggy bank everyday. Hopefully at the end of year I'll have enough funds for travel.
    4. Be Punctual. I don't know what happened to me but I was never been late in any of my appointment when I was a student. But when I got jobs me being late was my worst enemy. It came to the point that the only thing they can blame me is for being late but my work flow was excellent, no more late for 2018.
    5. Read atleast 5 books. 2017 was been a busy year for me hopping from 3 jobs within one year was not easy, I came to a point where I always brought books and put it in my shelves and I didn't touch it. Books are meant to be red, so this year is the time.
    6. 1000 subscribers in my YOUTUBE channel. This will motivate me on producing a better content and to update regularly. So far my Dear Maje channel has 101 subbies.
    7. Have a 2nd degree or Do finish my Masters. Never stop learning was one of my motto in life therefore let's make my life miserable I guess hahahaha.
    8. Be more organize. My life need some organization skills, I will track down all my expenses and be more responsible on things.
    9. Go to church on Sunday. Last year I can't remember I went to church maybe that is the reason why I'm in bad shape but this year I will come back and praise my God.
    10. Get Fit. 2017 was totally a wake up call for me to get fit, dresses are no longer fitting me so this time no more excuses.
Hopefully I can achieve atleast half  of my goals this year, let's all see if I'll reach it by the end of the year. I'll make another update on this by that time happens.

    Bathingsuit: Hapeejonee on Instagram
    Sunglass: Sunnies studios

It was raining cats and dogs on our last day, I woke up around 6am ( yes ang lakas maka-tita's of manila ) with a cold room and a bit of thunderstorm, although I know there will be a scattered rain for that day my mind was at peace thinking it will stop later since it was too early I went back to snuggle my froggy.

But around 10:30 am it was still raining, this time I was skeptical on everything, I keep on checking my weather update if the sun will shine today. I was also praying that time to let us enjoy our last day.

11:00 am, we decided to go forth and let's continue the adventure whether it rains or not. But as we leave our hotel room the raining subside from wet to dry drizzle which was totally ok for us who do not have an umbrella. Good thing our hotel is near at MRT station, we run as fast as we can and headed to SENTOSA which was sunny thank goodness.

You can try a lot of things in SG, but for us who have limited time and adventure seekers we decided to try this Adventure Cove Waterpark. Our main reason why we choose this waterpark is because of their gigantic slides which we don't have (as of speaking) here in the Philippines.

We booked our ticket thru klook which is very convenient cause we don't need to fall in line. All we need to do was to print out our ticket to an A4 size bond paper and scan the barcode directly at your preferred tourist spot/park. I believe you dont have to print it in A4 size, you can actually use your phone and download the ticket, they will sent to you over email but just to be sure (the tita in me was working effectively here hahahaha) I printed it out.

We instantly fell inlove with this park, due to all extreme activities are really hitting our expectations, plus you can do snorkeling, swim along with fishes, manta ray and a lot more. If you are exhausted you can relax in their cabanas.

Here are my favorite extreme rides:

    ALL!

I love all rides that adventure cove waterpark has to offer. I wish they open here in the Philippines. Kung baga saten walang tapon! lahat panalo.

If you are looking for a photo of extreme rides as much as I want to take my camera with me, cameras are not allowed when you are trying their slides due to safety reasons, you can bring the camera but you will leave it once you hopped in the floating device and the person-in-charge are not liable if you loss your camera. I decided to put my camera down, locked it in my locker and enjoy this once in a lifetime experience.

After that we went back to our hotel and pack our bags, we still have time for our last minute shopping for pasalubongs and such. By the time you are reading this we already went back home. Thank you so much for stopping by until next travel blog.

    Knife. Blade. Rope
"It's not painful, do it" my mind said.

    Knife. Blade. Rope
"Everything is gonna be alright, do it" my heart said.

    Knife. Blade. Rope
I'm sad, no scratch that I'm beyond sad. Depress I guess?

    Knife. Blade. Rope
I feel shallow,  I feel empty.

    Knife. Blade. Rope
I was laughing but underneath that is me, screaming for help.

    Knife. Blade. Rope
I talked to people but none of them cared. Everybody has own burden to carry and mine was needed to carried alone.

    Knife. Blade. Rope

    And it all ended here-
